Radio Spot is in essence a (really) free app. We aim to not annoy the user. At all. Period. 

This means that the free version is ad-free, at no cost whatsoever. And this is permanent, there is no trial period.

That said, we do have to make a living. The intention is to do this through a subscription, which is also ad-free, but low-cost in exchange for valuable features.

Limitations of the free version

The user is free to use the app within the bounds of local legislation (e.g. do not play music in public spaces without permission if that is restricted in your country, i.e. just follow the law like with any other streaming app). The license to use the app free of charge is unlimited in time.

This model does come with some limitations:

• The number of radio stations the user can put in his/her radio station list is limited to 5.

• The countries the user can select radio stations from is limited to the country exposed by the user's IP address, setting a preferred country is disabled.

• The Spotify integration feature is fully functional but the number of songs that can be added to your Liked Songs playlist is limited to 3 per day and 21 in total.

The definitions of these limitations can be changed by the provider of the app at any time, without notice. We reserve the right to implement a limit on the time the app can be used free of charge some time in the future (but have no plans to do so).

Terms of the subscription

All limitations mentioned under 'Limitations of the free version' no longer apply if the user is subscribed through the Play Store. To be clear:

• The number of radio stations the user can put in his/her radio station list is unlimited.

• The countries and continents the user can select radio stations from is unlimited.

• The Spotify integration feature is fully functional without any limitation on the number of songs that can be added to your Liked Songs playlist.

We only provide a monthly subscription which becomes active instantly (within technical limitations of synchronization of store data). 

The subscription can be cancelled at any time through https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. A cancellation of the subscription will mean that the subscription remains active for the remainder of the active period and will no longer be prolonged after that. We do not provide refunds for the remainder of the active period.

A grace period of 7 days is applied whenever payment of your subscription is not received in a timely manner (payment is a process within the app store, and is automated. Robots fail sometimes).

Since the identification of the playing song, and the recognition thereof is dependent of factors out of our control, we do not guarantee in any way that all songs can be added to your Spotify Liked Songs playlist. We wish we could but we don't. 

Since the quality of audio streams over the internet is dependent of factors out of our control, we do not guarantee in any way that all selectable stations can be played at all times (or any time for that matter, since the station itself needs to broadcast). Again: we wish we could but we don't.

We strongly recommend to try the free version of the app for a while and only subscribe if you are happy with how the app performs. In other words: by subscribing you agree that the Like feature and audio streaming is not fail-safe and confirm that you are aware of its performance.

We aim to keep the price of the subscription very democratic. Target price is 1 euro ex-VAT per month, but we do keep the option open to change that price in the future. If we do, we will of course be bound by the terms & conditions of doing do as enforced within the Play Store (check the link for details). At this pricing level we feel that there is no need for refunds, promo-codes or trail periods.
